I feel healthcare has too much stakes. In finance, it is just money which is at stake. In healthcare it is lives, lives which cannot be reversed, saved, relived, revived. No matter how hard we tried with technology, with AI, with money, efforts. That is why I left the field of healthcare.

I realized that no matter how hard I WORK in research, there are lives, things, mechanisms, societies, ideologies which I cannot change, save, manage.

It is so difficult to even make a single difference.

The European visa system has struck me nothing as dumb. That is the only word for it. So just because I am from China, then I have to get a provisional visa, then a residence permit, then registration at the city hall. You know what, I give up. After spending 8 years twisting with the system, countless paper works, I OFFICIALLY give up. I have no time and energy to deal with all the bureaucratic bullshit because of my nationality.

Some of the laws are self contradictory if best. I was again stuck in this never ending loop of registration, de-registration, which makes me want to kill myself at best.

YOU WIN, EUROPEAN UNION. SEE YOU NEVER.

I think Facebook's claim about privacy is honestly a lie.

I did not see any improvements over privacy for users; facebook has always used advertising as its core business model. I am not going to believe any claims the companies made on privacy. not now, not ever.

When I studies in SA, it came as a surprise that by tradition one man can marry four wives.

Of course Tesla is facing a scandal because of twitter legal troubles, their CEO's polygamy tendency, and supply chain troubles in China.

The automobile industry is competitive that I have seen 10 new brands while I was in China, NIO, NEZHA, XPENG, etc. The transition is much faster than Europe. I rarely smell gas in the street anymore compared to 10 years ago.

A recent fire accident reminds us that EV battery fire can be deadly.

Let me start by saying that I do not believe in the fundamental concept of marriage. Warren Buffet shares the same idea.

I believe human beings are selfish, self centered and the genes do not deserve to be passed on.

It is not until I went to college/graduate school/Phd I realize there are people who ARE WILLING to marry for nationality, passport, money, status, career etc. I started working and realized the population is not small. Every relationship is like a deal and if they do not get something from it, they are not comfortable. I have never lived like this and I cannot imagine living like that. What a PITY. Are you willing to put a price on your soul?

Social media and its heavy cost

Social media is one of the worst ways to waste my time and pretend that I care about others' lives.

I stopped using it and my life is not that different.

I just cannot help wondering why Wechat, Tiktok, Facebook has not received a outright ban.

I used to think highly of VC until I read the book from Maria Mazucatto entrepreneur state. She argues that in most cases, true innovation is funded by the state whereas VCs and companies are using state resources for commercialization.

Recently, I did a couple of interviews with VCs. The reality is I do not like them.

They break promises very easily. They use interviews for free consultation lessons.

The most important thing is they judge people from the looks and treat me like a disposable.

Nothing innovative is going to come out of it. I am sure.
