Maui must have been one of the most places to watch sunset in the world. The night on the beach, I watched the sunset turned the sky purple, and decided to take a walk along the shore. It was at that moment that I feel so depressed that I wish to keep walking into the water, and disappeared.
The two years of PhD has changed me profoundly in a way. I am not sure if it is academia work or if the island full of newly weds and couples had shaken me and made me realize that I am all alone, I was all alone, and he had left and would never come back that all the stress has finally cracked my heart, that I had that thought. It shock me in a way. Then I look at the sunset and thought it is so beautiful, there must be something worthy of living and loving in the world, I thought about my parents, my friends, those who love me and support me along the way.
Maybe one day I will go back there with a loved one, and had a happier experience.
